Intelliverse Enhances VoIP Quality for SMBs
Provides customers with improved voice quality and reliability
Atlanta, GA – February 21, 2007 – Intelliverse, a leading provider of IP communications, today announced improved quality and reliability for its hosted VoIP services, Talking Planet Business and callEverywhere, with the implementation of a comprehensive media path optimization (MPO). The improvements ensure top performance and quality on all calls for Intelliverse's customers.
With the completion of the MPO project, Intelliverse is able to release calls back to the carrier allowing the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) stream to flow directly from the originating caller to the called party without being pinned up through Intelliverse's switches. This minimizes the path that the call must take over the Internet and through the carrier's network, reducing the latency and thereby increasing the quality of the call.

Talking Planet Business and callEverywhere are turnkey solutions that are fully customizable to meet business objectives, maximize profitability and extend competitive advantage. Talking Planet Business is a hosted VoIP service sold to service providers, and callEverywhere is the same solution sold through the agent channel. Deployments usually include 4-port and 8-port IAD units combined with residential units and SoftPhones when needed.
